Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you use SweetLeaf Stevia?
The reason behind Olade and SweetLeaf™ is simple – SweetLeaf Sweetener® stands alone as the ONLY Stevia-based sweetener that is made with no chemicals, additives, alcohols or solvents. SweetLeaf™ is the only Stevia sweetener that uses only cool, purified water in its proprietary extraction process. This is a revolutionary approach, one that no other company in the world uses.
Unlike Truvia™, the Cargill/Coca-Cola Stevia product used in Glaceau Vitamin Water™, SweetLeaf™ does not have to pass its product thought absorption resins nor wash it with methanol (wood alcohol) or ethanol solvents, according to Carghill’s own study. No “natural flavors” are added to SweetLeaf Sweetener® to improve its taste.
What are Electrolytes?
Electrolytes are salts that are needed for hydration and for healthy function of muscles and the nervous system. You lose electrolytes when you sweat so electrolytes are especially important when you’re working out or, if you’re like Brad, performing at concerts.
What is Diabetes?
There are two types of diabetes, Type 1 and Type 2:
Type 1 Diabetes occurs when the body’s immune system attacks the pancreas and destroys the cells in the pancreas responsible for producing insulin. Without insulin, the body cannot process glucose (sugar).
Type 2 Diabetes occurs when the body becomes resistant to insulin or the pancreas doesn’t produce enough insulin.
People with diabetes must take insulin regularly, monitor their blood sugar, and carefully manage their diet and exercise plan in order to regulate their blood sugar levels.
